The Saturday Farmers’ Market started as a pilot at the Wirksworth Festival in 2008 with a handful of stalls, gradually growing to become a regular source of locally produced fine food, crafts and information about stuff happening in and around the town.
All stalls are run by small independent businesses, some only being found at the Wirksworth market!
Most months you might also find live music played by musicians from around the area.
Most of our stall holders are based really close to us in the picturesque Derbyshire valleys of the nearby Amber, Ecclesbourne and Derwent rivers and we reckon the average distance they travel is no more than 15 miles!
Hi everyone we are just doing final prep for Saturday looking forward to another busy busy day of hussle and bustle trading and enjoyable business ♥️…. Big push on social media and signage on major roads around Derbyshire too …. Please get in early from 6 am drop your goodies and park by the school … as quick as you can please no waffle 😉🤦♂️😁any questions just ask x Ade
